Sorry if I misinterpreted your post.
The "apparent contradiction" examples you just pointed out are excellent !
We have exactly the same feeling here and now : there appears to be contradictions on the final results between John's approach and George's which both seem to firmly established on very solid - albeit quite different - grounds ... This IS fascinating.
Let's wait for full light and the best outcome of this search for the truth.
