TI-86 for Star Pilot

I picked up a TI-86 for next to nothing and am attempting to do the pre-install of Starpilot, but seem to be stuck between 2 ages of technology. I picked up the TI communication kit ($8.00!!) that allows me to connect to he ti-86 via USB, and it will talk to the calculator, but I keep getting an out of memory error when I try to install Starpilot-86. I cleared the Ti-86 before the install using TI Connect, and have had no luck. Anyone else using the TI-86? (Now I know why the folks at starpath have an install deal for 25 dollars. :-)) I also picked up an Ebco plastic sextant at a yard sale, and did a moon shot. It was the only visible body at the time, and it's nice to start out large.
