Surface Mail from Canada

My copy of the 1963 Edition of HO216 finally arrived by surface mail from Canada. I purchased it 24^th December 2020 and it arrived today 13^th March 2021. That’s 79days from Canada to the UK. Can anyone suggest how long it might have taken in 1921 and 1821? The book cost $14.99 Canadian and the surface postage was $30 Canadian. Air mail would have been around $61.76 Canadian. The problem is, I can no longer remember why I bought it. The good thing is it arrived in excellent condition. It looks as if the previous owner wasn’t very diligent. I doesn’t appear to have been opened since it was printed in 1963. DaveP
