Are we missing the basics of Special Relativity and the Twins Paradox here?
Superman may arrive back after his flight in the observer's future, or his
past? depending on the frame of reference (therefore younger than the
observer), but the earthbound observer's sun will truck on as usual. This
ain't the International Date Line we are kicking around. Direction around
earth will not matter, only acceleration. Lorentz Transformations are, "A
simple exercise left to the reader."
