[NavList] Sunrise Venus Lunar by DSLR w/50mm Lens

A sunrise digital image of a Venus lunar was taken this morning with a 10 MP DSLR and 50 mm prime lens set to f8, ISO 200, 1/200 sec, infinite focus. Image quality is satisfactory and the -0.8' lunar error is within the 2 pixel precision range of the camera. I would feel comfortable using images such as this to perform lens calibrations.

    Hello Greg,

Reworking your data, I find the following results :

If both your Position and time were correct, you "should" have observed a sextant distance equal to 13°19'953 while you observed 13°19'1, hence a difference slightly above 0.8'. Such results are rated with an error of 0.0 ' by Frank's Computer.

If on the other hand both your sextant distance and your position were correct/perfect, then UT should have read 14h12m07.5 s while it read 14h09m07.0s
Such results are rated too with an error of 0.0 ' by Frank's Computer.

... Just for fun, as usual, and

    Best Regards from

    Kermit
