Statistical analysis of sight data to improve personal technique
    From: Ed Popko

I have been averaging my sextant sights for some time and found it well worth the effort. But I have never looked into using statistics such as regression, standard deviation, etc. for ways of analyzing my sight data, identifying systematic errors and improving my sight taking. Perhaps I dismissed this thinking the sample sizes are too small to analyze.

Perhaps some NavListers have. I'm interested in your analysis, what's the minimum sample size required and if it led to improved personal technique.
