My clumsy statement was not intended to show surprise, rather admiration.
I fully support tradition and successful practice. Whilst your post was winging across the Atlantic, I was struggling to sldeslip a tailwheel aircraft designed before WW II down onto a grass strip, the lowering cloudbase and showers making it crucial to three point her in before the weather clamped.
Rather, I am pleased that in amusing myself with time sights on my own boat using versine layouts seen in Reed’s, and more recently all-haversine layouts as shown by Greg, I can now continue using Capt Worsley’s layout which I believe would have been used by my Great-grandfather.
