One of the things that strikes me is that while we have neat names for far-flung space explorations (everything from Eagle to Rover), we have just a dreary alphabetism, GPS, for one of the most important space-borne systems ever created.  And improvements to it get such endearing names as "Block III"

I propose that future systems have striking names.   And what could be more endearing than naming them after animals that use the sky to navigate?   Imagine calling a new system "Python with the Dung Beetle upgrade"
