Virtually every nationality of navigator throughout the twentieth century used a set of tables (others among English readers are Burton's and Nories) in combination with the Nautical Almanac: compiled for Right Ascension in that century's first half and Hour Angle in that second half. The Nautical Almanac was, and still is, printed in several languages. The Astronomical Almanac was, and remains to be, barely seen.
