Thank you very much, Brad for getting a clear answer from CELESTRON.
I had been considering purchasing SKYSCOUT recently, but ... probably no longer now.
And if CELESTRON does not care of even Precession for their Modern SKYSCOUT product - which really puzzles me - maybe should we feel nonetheless quite lucky and happy that they have not used Ptolemaius' Almagest then instead of the Hipparcos Satellite Catalog.
This last comment is absolutely nothing adverse against you at all - on the contrary Thank you very much again for sharing this quite interesting information - , but just a (deep) regret that - with so many beautiful different items they manufacture including some very nice SKYSCOUT features - they did not care to include EVEN precession here (+ proper motion .... at least for Arcturus) !
Best Regards
Antoine M. "Kermit" Couëtte
