    Dan,
    For the newcomers here like me, could we get the inner workings of the
    solution to what may be our first problem? That would really be nice.
    I did questions 1, 2, and 4, and then when the solution came here, I kind of
    lost interest :) (It would be great to wait more than 5 days to give a
    solution; maybe a full week?).
    Below are some of my questions.
    > 1. FIX= 9d 50.0'N  53d 00.2'W
    >
    > 2. TC= 298.1d
    >    Dist= 424.6 Nmi
    I tried to apply the mid-latitude sailing formula from 4mulas.txt and got TC
    = 298 but Dist = 379 Nm. I would appreciate if somebody could see if I made
    an obvious error, and also explain what method was used (w/ reference) to
    get to the above numbers if mid-latitude sailing wasn't used (maybe it
    doesn't make sense to use it?).
