This might explain why my positions are off on SS Leg 61. I read SS took a RioJ departure fix on May 3, then after a day getting situated we took star shots at 08:13:11 on the next day...May 4. But the new Leg 62 says we got our fix at 08:13:11 on May 5. Cool! Finding the error is almost as much fun as finding the correct answer. I'll need to rework this...at lunch time. >>> Dan Hogan <dhhogan@XXX.XXX> 4/17/2000 6:34:06 AM >>> Our last fix was (25d 59.7'S 39d 00.3'W) on 04/05/2000 @XXX.XXX PS-If anyone is interested. I had an epiphany in operating my C-THRU chart plotter. This thing has had me confused for the longest time. The protractor seemed backwards until I realized that one lines up the edge on the course and bulls-eye on a nearby meridian. I kept trying to line up everything on my course. Now that I can work this thing, the C-THRU directions are as clear as a hammer to the head.
