    Re: Silicon Sea: Leg 21

The Silicon Sea problems are worked using NAVIG94. I had to standardize on
a program. I chose NAVIG(NAVEX) because I had been using it for years and
it is designed to aid in learning celestial.
I am also a registered user of MNAV(by John Simmonds), Nav22 and PC
Sightmaster. They all excellent for using on the Silicon Sea problems. Find
one you like and just stick with it so that you are comfortable using it.
For those using Tables John Simmonds also has a freeware Nautical Almanac,
    check the files at ronin.com.
On my boat I use a pair of HP 32SII calculators(they were gifts). On is
programmed for DR by Mercator Sailing, the other is programmed with a
Dozier formula for sight reduction. My back Tables are H.O. 208.
