    With regard to the UL refraction correction I used of -30 minutes;
    My 2014 nautical almanac only goes as low as 9*33'.
    In error, I just used the moon -30' for upper limb as an approximation.
    Looking at the values in the almanac I shuld likely have used -32' or so. In any case the sights are about as low as you can get, and I just wanted to see if very low angle sights were possible and if an open tube sight would be the best tool for the purpose using an AH. The answer to both questions appears to be yes.
