It took a few trys to get my Canon 760 calculator to do a Sun sight reduction using Pol. The Pol function was picky about using parentheses (see index card example). I would say that the sight reduction this way takes about half the button pushing as if done by law of cosines. It will take some time to get used to this method but it is a good one :)
