    Sight Tube vs. 4x Scope
    From: Greg Rudzinski
    Date: 2015 Apr 28, 10:12 -0700

Today's exercise is to compare the sight tube vs. the 4x scope for index error determination.  Sun LOP dispersions are also compared. (see attachments)

Without a doubt the 4x scope wins for index error determination.  The 4x scope wins again in the LOP dispersion comparison but not by much which should be of interest to small craft celestial navigators since the sight tube speeds up and eases the observation process considerably. Eye fatigue is also reduced.
