I have also been in touch with the author, who is planning some more user-friendliness improvements in the next release.
The significant change in the app was not really the correction of an error. It was just a change to make the conversion from Z to Zn comply with the instructions in the Power Squadrons course materials. (Some might even say the change made it less accurate, but it is really a trivial matter.)
BTW, he forgot to update the revision number in the Info, which still says "V1.4". Being that changing anything in the App Store is a pain, he did not feel it was worth an update just for that.

The iOS application "Sight Reduction Calculator" has updated to v1.5 which made it error-free and more convenient to use.
(I tried to post this couple of days ago - somehow it did not appear)
I am using this application since v1.2 when it was not so user-friendly, I contacted app's author who was kind to implement my suggestion and fix some bugs there.
