Hello to both of you Frank and George.
Both of you are raising what seem very valid points :
*******
Frank you discovered "short cut" Lunars, (congratulations again) and
George you are challenging the "practical use" of such short cuts until you are presented with a quick shot simple method (graph or other) which may readily show the valiant Navigator whether he can use or not such shortcut method given his apparent visual Lunar Configuration.
Frank, you published a very instructive layout (this 2 dimension graph of yours?) which I cannot retrieve. Do you think it would be fit for George's purpose, or do you have to present us with a different item (table, graph or other) which - and as you recently mentioned - would have been extremeny useful in the days then of Sir Maskelyne Royal Astronomer in the late XVIII th century ?
Thank you to both of you for reviving Lunars who have been such a great forum adventure !
And Last note, could one of you please publish the original data of your earlier quoted "impossible Lunar".
Thank you for your Kind Attention and
Best Regards
Antoine
