Hardware:
1) Sperry Gyro compass card. Note 1 deg markings
2) Gyro showing gimbals. This repeater is on the centerline of the
ship. There is one on each bridgewing as well.
3) Sperry Gyro with Azimuth circle. There is the regular sight facing
forward for terrestial and low altitude body sights (like Amplitudes.)
Athwartship is the mirror (folded down) and slit arrangements for sun Azimuths
at basically any elevation.
4) Tamaya MS-733 Sextant (with 4x40 scope) on the chart table along with
our usual tools: chart, eraser, pencil, 2 triangles, and a set of
dividers.
5) Our C. Plath Navistar sextant. The scope is unmarked but I think
its a bit bigger then the Tamaya. Perhaps a 4x50? I'm not sure
really.
Can you guess which sextant I use?
Jeremy
