    Would your reading be easier to take and result in more accuracy if your shadow lengths were longer, say six inches or so than as you now take them.  These are the lengths that I have worked with for awhile for land navagation. For my needs this is a satisfactory method feather than drag a sextant around, now just figure out a like method for latatude. Any suggestion from some one out there? Than
