I have seen sextants for sale on the internet but I thought I'd first try my local boat dealer. I just now called a major boat dealer in my area, asked if they carried sextants and the man asked me to repeat myself. Then he asked what it was used for and after I told him he said no, they don't carry them. Is this usual? It didn't surprise me that they didn't carry the sextants but to not even know what one is and be in the boating industry? Perhaps I'm just too new to this and have missed something. Donna
