Cruising sailors are odd out of necessity. To be able to jury rig with equipment ill suited for the job takes an out side of the box mind. The truly odd are those that turn the jury rig into a permanent fix. I try not to do that. As for odd sportsman I will have to differ on the trap and rifle shooters. Olympic curling takes the cake. Only curling fans can claim to be odder. Then there is ice fishing ;-)
An overdone New York strip is a culinary sin just about everywhere so timing by chronometer is a chefs best insurance against mutiny.
