I just bought a 1975 japanese sextant on ebay ( thank you Richard Reed for the tip). It is in excellent shape, but as advertised the silvering has faded on mirror #2. It should be a simple matter to replace this, but it is not something I can do at the local hardware store. It is 32x48 mm with beveled corners, and is 4 mm thick with the silvering on the back surface. I've emailed PhilaOptics for a quote, but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. -George Brandenburg
