    Hi Bill,
Arrived through JFK from Grenada with a Plath Yachtsman a few months back. Other than the curiosity of the TSA woman wondering what that was for, not issues at all.

I am flying in on a scheduled flight to meet a yacht in the Caribbean.
I was planning to take my metal sextant in hand luggage as I don't
trust it in checked baggage. Has anyone done this recently? Just
wondered if airport security saw a metal sextant as a threat?
