Frank, > "International Nautical". This sort of thing might seem odd today, Why odd today? This is the way Swiss watch industry operates. There are very few actual manufacturers, which produce movements. They sell these movements to other companies which are essentially jewelers. They add a case, hands and a "brand name". A very good movement costs $140. Then they make a watch with this movement that costs $10,000. You can have a watch with the same movement by another company for $400. They say that there is only one company nowadays that produces movements for pendulum clocks ("grandfather clocks", as they are called in the US :-) The rest are just making cases, furniture. Alex.
