Yes, I always find the "what's my heading to compensate for set and drift" a more difficult problem" and particularly frustrating when there's no solution.

Keeping up with the grind
If you have a a region where there are some islands, a current and wind direction, then couple that with the sailing capabilities of a vessel and you have a rich set of problems and possibilities where the course becomes more of an art rather than a science.
