    The 1987 edition of "Admiralty Manual of Navigation, Volume 1, General
    Navigation, Coastal Pilotage" has sections beginning on page 93 titled
    Spheroidal Rhumb-Line Sailing and on page 97 Spheroidal Great-Circle Sailing.
     In addition to the formulas, there is included a worked example and a table
    comparing meridional parts, course, and distance from one location to another
    calculated on a sphere and on a spheroid.
