Alex,
Using computer guided laser cutting machinery, it could be produced in a matter of a minute or so. It would take me about an hour using traditional methods (see some examples in my latest blog post), which I might well think well-spent if it raised the value of a sextant by two or three times. An original SNO-M arm would be no good because it has a raised rib, which would prevent an insignia being added
