I liked the idea of an ad in a magazine for older, frugal, people (Yankee Magazine) and offering $100 if the device was in usable condition. He paid $75 to run his ad in Yankee and bought several sextants over the next 12 months from that one ad. He claims all he bought were worth more than $100.
