I guess Gillespie is praying Ballard will find something otherwise he will have a tough time selling yet another expedition.
The Nikumaroro LOP, unclear photo of a landing gear sticking out of the water, a scrap aluminum sheet with rivet holes are all exhibits he shows potential doners etc. . The Nikumaroro search has been good income for years. If Ballard doesn't find anything, how can you sell the next expedition?
