    Oblique ascension is used astrologically in the application of equatorial
    arcs of direction as indicators of the events of a life. Specifically, it
    is used to direct a planet to the eastern or western horizon or prime
    vertical and generally involves planets in the 6th or 12th astrological
    houses - cove
