Arthur Pearson's web site reflected the "consensus" opinion of the navigation list at that time (spring, 2003 with some additions a few months later). There was a lot that was wrong at that time, plenty that was confused, and more that just hadn't been investigated. Although George's "About Lunars" series dates from even earlier, it is mostly very good, especially the first couple of parts. If your student is interested in learning more about lunars, there has been lots of material posted to the list in the past four years. A good way to access that material is to go to the list archive here: http://www.fer3.com/arc and search for "lunars" then "lunar distances" etc. You will find most everything that has been posted to the list from 1997 through 2007 (with most of the volume, in fact, in the last four years). -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
