George, It sounds like the best fit would be an old-fashioned (non object oriented) Basic interpreter; you wouldn't have to learn anything new to use one and you could transfer your existing programs easily (just email them to yourself from your old Mac and read on your Windows XP machine; might have to copy and paste into the code editor). There should be several available for the PC. I'll check on a list and get back to you. Oh, and is your Windows machine brand new? If not, you should make sure the firewall is on and install Service Pack 2 (a free download from microsoft.com) before surfing over to look at naughty pictures! Fred
