I solved all three equations for every increment of one foot, up to HoE of one mile and plotted the results.
Equation 1 is the non standard pressure and temperature equation, when pressure and temperature are standard. This agrees pretty well with
Equation 2, dip = 0.02977 sqrt(h).
Equation 3, which seems to differ, is 3438*sqrt(2h/R)
