    Real-time UT1-UTC difference.
    From: Tony Oz

    Hello!

I started listening to the time-signals stations, namely - to RWM (at 4996kHz). As it transpired this station is among those that do transmit the real-time value of the difference between the UT1 and UTC time scales (as explaned here).

When I started to listen to these signals (more than a month ago) the UT1-UTC was equal to +0.44s, a week or so ago the difference value has become equal to +0.42s

Also, using this station I discovered that all the commecial radiostations that transmit the "hour beeps" are more than 5~7 seconds behind the UTC proper.

If the UT1-UTC is not so important for celestial navigation - the (quite significant) offset of commercial broadcasters' "beeps" could be.

    Regards,

    Tony
