Dear Alex,
A12 sextant feature an averaging mechanism (manual) but I don't use it. Have you solved the problem of bubble size increasig (from the 10 O'clock position) during observations or did you decide to live with it?

does not have an averaging mechanism. Or you simply

My observations seem worse (I have errors of 5' frequently,
but probably this is because of my insufficient experience
with this sextant.
