    Rare footage of radio sextant
    From: Igor S.
    Date: 2021 Mar 26, 14:25 -0700
In many films/photos on soviet submarines we can see only periscopes and communication antennas stretched out of the superstructure but almost never radio sextant (see my older posts).
In the photo attached (from open sources) we can see two moored submarines which can be identified as DeltaIII-class nuclear submarine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_III-class_submarine and the biggest submarine in the world - Typhoon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon-class_submarine). Both were equipped with radio sextant.
If we look closer we can recognize both the spherical radome as well as hatch cover of radio sextant. We can also notice a sun glitter on the water surface so the sun is apparently visible for radio sextant.
    kind regards,
    Igor
