    Pyongyang Time is gone again
    From: Frank Reed
    Date: 2018 May 6, 17:33 -0700

From 15 August 2015 until May 5, 2018, yesterday, North Korea went its own way and set its time zone to UT+08:30. And honestly there was nothing wrong that so-called "Pyongyang Time" since it more closely matched Local Mean Time and since the previous standard was a legacy of Japanese imperialism. But now, starting yesterday, North Korea is back on the time zone established by Imperial Japan in the early 20th century and aligned once again with modern South Korea as well as Japan: UT+09:00.

    And that's today's time trivia...
