Thanks for your help with Pub 249 reduction. Mr. Rudzinski, I had the correct epoch. Mr. Reed, I had indeed used a rounded assumed longitude rather than one that would just subtract out the miutes and seconds as you would with a 229 reduction. This brought the Pub 249 fix (cocked hat center) to within just 3 miles of the GPS fix. The reference to USNO to get the Aries hour angle was also very helpful. My 2014 almanac won't reach me for a week or so. Again, thank you and "Happy New Year".
