Come now Fred, that's equal to simply locking the prop shaft. Blades or shaft, lock either one and you end the energy transfer and the motion. All you've done is stop the rotation by jamming the screw, which is exactly analagous to the prop walk you get when you lock the shaft--or shut the engine.
