Thanks for the additional data, It seems that Iam largely ignorant of telescopes, having thought that they were a simple optical device, of some magnification, that one looked through. I'm not being sarcastic. As mentioned previously, the scope that came with my Astra sextant is, I believe 4 x 40 mm telescope. The other optic later acquired is a 7 x 35mm monocular, half of a binocular, that has a prism or prisims in it. Obviously, it's magnification capabilityis considerable enhanced. I usually use the 4 x 40mm glass, as it is considerable lighter in weight. Learning is, it seems, an ongoing process.
