    Prismatic Circle of Reflection

    All Concerned

Find herein a link to a powerpoing presentation of my Circle of Reflection. Instead of a mirror, it has a prism to fold the light, hence it is a prismatic circle of reflection.

A damaged prismatic circle of reflection of this exact model is in the maritime museum in Greenwich. The maritime museum thought the CoR so significant, it preserved the damaged one. Mine is complete in the box, to include the key.

The PPT shows a guided tour of my instrument. This circle was used in land surveys and the referenced article from the early 1900's is shown. The PPT also previously had star to star calibrations, this data has been redacted.

The circle measures from zero to beyond 180 degrees. Since the PPT was meant to be accompanied by my verbal communication at the same time, there may be some technical point which is unclear to you without that verbal. Feel free to ask.

The PPT was given at Navigation Weekend 2010

    Best Regards
