Dear Alan,
You're right of course that for extreme accuracy radio-controlled is a great and and anything but costly solution. It's what makes my cellphone being the most accurate timepiece I have on hand.
(my Samsung Galaxy Gio is always spot-on thanks to ClockSync [http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/android/clocksync], even though the app shows the internal clock of the cellphone is sometimes drifting off >6 seconds/day)
But I like the thought that my watch will be able to keep time to a reasonable extent, even beyond the reach of UTC (now still UT1 also) transmitters.
And I think I was to negative in my last post about my G10 - chrono, rechecking and looking up when I last synced it reveals it is running slow less than 2 s/month.
Regards,
Jaap
