Fred, Yes, I agree completely. Moreover, I feel that if I switch to another sextant/telescope now, I will need a lot of practice again to achieve the results of the same accuracy. Perhaps not years, but substantial practice. For example, my results with the old vernier C. Plath are much worse. And of course, I blame the sextant first:-) Alex.
