A complete period of the Earths precession takes 26,000 years. Is there a straightforward answer to how far the Poles will travel during this time. I have googled and understand the average precession is 50.41 arc seconds/yr.
50.41 x 26,000 divide by 60 = 21,844 arc minutes or 21,844 miles.
So the poles travel 21,844 nautical miles during a complete period of precession/or do they?
