    Hi Bill,

How accurate can you get the time from a Luna, under good conditions at sea?

About 30 seconds.  Maybe a little better with multiple sights and averaging.

Haven't forgotten about posting the star fields from December with the astrometry pipeline---things have been really busy lately.

In fact, the ISS video linked today would seem to be a good candidate for optical navigation.  Plenty of stars.  How well can the orbit be recovered?  Can a good estimate of "down" be made from the many extinction profiles?

    Cheers,
    Peter
