OMG! With all the talk about slide
rules on this thread I decided to see what the market would bear
as they say.
So I googled slide rules and clicked on this sight:

There was my old K+E Deci-Lon 5 and IT WAS GOING FOR $225!!
I couldn't believe it; this was a very good slide rule, but it was also my first (H.S. senior / freshman college) slide rule.
A good solid everyday student slide rule that went for I think $15 in the book store. Are people just waxing nostalgic?
