Yes, thanks very much Ward for the reply. I guess it will remain a mystery whether many were ever manufactured.
For others who would like to at least see a good picture of one,there is a Poor Line of Position Computer for sale right now at:

You need to scroll down to find it but the seller has some good pictures posted. They show that the instrument was sold by a company called T.S&J.D. Negus in New York.
