Frank, I did not understand this message. It looks like you began a sentence but did not finish it. (I've never heard of such sextant SNO-U/Y, and even cannot figure out what Russian letters correspond to your transliteration.) The word "snezhnyi" means "made of snow" or related to snow in some other way. They would not say this about a sextant. They would rather say "Poliarnyi" which means "Polar". Alex.
