Yeah, welcome to today's world of text-books. I'm an old dog, but have a kid in college. Her textbooks typically cost over $1000 per year. She's a pre-med and took organic chemistry this year. Text (including a subscription to some sort of web service, not quite sure what it did) cost her $350. Then she had to spend another $120 for an American Chemical Society study guide for the ACS-standard final exam. Guess the only pleasure from all that is that (a) she actually liked O-chem (which nobody does) and (b) she got somewhere in the 90th percentile on the exam.--- Lu Abel <lunav@abelhome.net> wrote:In fact, just like Bowditch's name stayed on American Practical Navigator, it looks like French's name stays on drafting texts:The irony of the Amazon listing is that the $165.94 asking price would buy a pretty decent CAD program... ;-)
